Holy run-on sentences Batman! But I'm too tired to manage anything more.

Up: Weekend was awesome The weather was iffy on Friday afternoon, but we combatted this by stringing lights and torches up inside the palace until it turns into somewhere we could all curl up and talk and joke and chat and stayed up until the early hours of the morning.

Then on Sat, it was just as iffy, but we managed to wander into town and go to the farmer's market, and then split up to see the castle and the craft faire and the crazy golf, and then back to the camp site and did pick-your-own. And then we all did our own thing while the rain passed and then all headed down to the beach with BBQs and meat and chairs and MP3 players and speakers and booze and built a bonfire that had a wall o' sand backing it so no one could mistake it for a signal fire and cooked and played frisbee and went sea wading and sat around the fire talking and drinking and listening to music and finding wood and there was a moment where I was sat on top of a dune looking down on this sunny beach which was deserted but for a bunch of my friends all happy and relaxed and hanging out and the thought ran through my head that if I ever get to the point where I seriously need a happy place inside my own brain, that's going to be it.

And then Sunday packing down was done with everyone hanging around and helping each other out and with a minimum of fuss, and then we went to a pub and went for a walk and there was EPIC POSING and then a pub lunch and Peter got jealous of Doug's chocolate cake and everyone slowly bimbled off on their own way and it was Good.

But there is always the downs:
- MOT was more expensive than I'd anticipated and Rhino ended up having to go to the dealer to be fixed. Ow. I am flat, stoney broke for the rest of the month. Dear all: you're all lovely folk, but please don't suggest such things as cinema trips or meals out for the next fortnight, if you'd be so kind, as I'll have to say no and feel bad :(
- I've just written up a basic list of stuff that still needs to be done before the wedding. Holy hell. Little things like LARP and socialising and sleep might start falling by the wayside with this. We are on less than 3 months to go - it doesn't seem all that close until you count the weekends.
- I'm in the middle of body confidence issues. To be fricking blunt, I've actually gotten to the point where I'm having nightmares about it. Diet is starting back up. I find this incredibly difficult to talk about with other people, so please don't say anything to me about it unless you're desperate for me to either get shouty or teary, but if folk could try and avoid offering me cake and other unhealthy stuff, I'd appreciate it.
- I'm unexpected knackered after the weekend, so my emotional resilience is currently low and thus just writing the above paragraph made me feel all weepy. FFS woman, get a grip.

In other news: a while back I found somewhere that for stag and hen weekends, would provide you and a group of friends with half a pig and show you how to butcher it, and then you got to take the bits home afterwards. I've lost the link - anybody heard of it or know of places that do it?

If there is anything that I can do, from a distance, to help with Wedding prep stuff, please please let me know.

I'm glad the weekend was awesome - sorry we couldn't make it.

Oh god, that's something I've been totally forgetting to ask you - can I have your measurements to send to Clare for your dress please?

We shall come steal you another time ^_^ When are you thinking of coming down?

I'll grab my measurements and send them along.

We're free either first weekend in August, or all weekends in September are currently free, so when works for you?

Lol, first weekend in August is a Vampire weekend game, which I'm pretty sure our ST would be overjoyed to have you turn up for, and would be lots of fun, but where you guys could sleep would be a bigger issue; Caz and Peter are quite firmly over subscribed, and are putting up another 5 people on top of themselves, and Doug and I are sleeping at Flo and Lucy's resultantly. September - the very first weekend, I'm working. OTher than that, am free, but with wedding stuff, all previuos plans are now a bit up in the air... :(

For the first weekend in August, we can *find* you room. You are someone I have no problem finding space for.

I'm glad it was such an excellent weekend!

There's: http://www.learnbutchery.co.uk/
Or: http://www.foodsafari.co.uk/course/the-whole-pig-nose-to-tail/ - which seems to be the same people, but a specific weekend.

*hugs*

Thank you! And ooh-er missus, they're all a bit pricey :-/ I could have sworn I remembered it being £300 for a group, so you split it between those who turned up. Damnit, I shall rethink! :)

I'm glad you had a good weekend. I also had a lot of fun.

Using Google I can find this: http://www.foodsafari.co.uk/bespoke/hen-weekends/
and this: http://www.empirefarm.co.uk/farm-school-introduction/
It certainly sounds more fun than making a fool of yourself in a pub.

That second one looks awesome! Lol, I know what I'm doing for an anniversary pressie for Doug one year, even if it's out of my price range now! ^_^

I think Cat and Lucy have already found all the links I did, so if there's any other way I can be helpful, poke me. I will try to find out where the place Swindon-way where you get to shoot, prep and eat Bambi is though.

Glad you enjoyed the weekend, we will have to do something similar at some point next year once real life has calmed down again. And much sympathy on the tired, I crashed out utterly yesterday and slept most of the afternoon...

Shooting prepping and eating Bambi all sounds like damn good fun :D

You might be recruited to help stuff envelopes at some point. No promises yet :P

I should have crashed out. Instead I pottered - stupid me! >_< I plan to have a nice long lie in tomorrow though - the advantage of being on late shift.

Big, big hugs! I'm glad you had a fun weekend (I did too!), and I'm sorry you're having to deal with these difficult issues. Thanks for sharing the things I should (or should not!) do to avoid putting extra weight on your shoulders - I really appreciate it when friends tell me things like that :)

I hope you have the support you need to find ways to deal with these things and stay happy!

Thank you - lol, welcome to my journal. I'd love to say it's not this bad all the time....but actually, this can be pretty tame! ^_^

So sorry we couldn't make it at the weekend. Missing you guys!! Hopefully we'll be able to make it down to see you or if you guys are ever Up North then a meetup can occur.

Gah, wedding planning. I feel your pain!
