I think that's about the extent to which I'm going to comment on the riots. It's very easy to get angry. Very easy to want to lash out at these people who are the face of everything that spits on everyone you love who's being 'decent' - minimising their hard work and what they achieve - but that anger solves remarkably little, and in many ways, contributes to this cycle.
I'm not sure I 100% agree with what's being said in the above link, but I think the sentiment of 'how to fix things' is bang on. Volunteer. Clean up. Do something, anything productive.
Howling for retribtion is exactly what happened in 1985, and here we are all over again. Doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result is the definition of insanity; I'm picking a different route.
